A useful fit for

A fit for a household that wants the seven-quart timed Stay or Go cooker plus a separate small electric warmer for dips or appetizers at a table or buffet.

The main tradeoff

The Party Dipper is a warming-only accessory with its own base and cord, not additional slow-cooker capacity, a two-zone insert or a timed cooking mode. It adds storage and cleanup.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can this model slow-cook a large batch on a selected timer and switch to Warm?

Yes. It offers 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours on High, Low or Warm and automatically changes to Warm after the timed cook. It is a countdown after cooking starts, not a delayed-start schedule.

Can I secure the glass lid for taking this cooker to another kitchen?

Yes. The wire clips are for carrying the lidded appliance after cooking; they are not to be latched while cooking or storing food, and the manual directs users to carry by the base handles.

Does the exact package include the small Party Dipper warmer?

Yes. This exact 7-quart package lists a separate 20-ounce Party Dipper warmer; it warms dips and appetizers and does not add capacity to the main crock.

The Hamilton Beach 33772 combines a seven-quart programmable Stay or Go slow cooker with a separate 20-ounce Party Dipper food warmer. The main crock is still the capacity for soups, roasts and other slow-cooked dishes; the small warmer is an extra serving vessel for dips or appetizers, not a divided insert or another slow-cooking chamber.

Cook the main dish in the large crock

The main slow cooker offers High, Low and Warm and selectable two-, four-, six-, eight- or ten-hour durations. Hamilton Beach calls the 15 heat/time combinations programmable options; at the end of a timed slow-cook cycle, the appliance changes to Warm. This is not a delayed-start or meal-finish scheduler. If the recipe requires a different window, the household still needs to plan around the available cycle lengths.

The maker says the seven-quart stoneware can hold a seven-pound chicken, five-pound roast or barbecue for up to 30 sliders and describes it as serving nine or more. These examples help with shape and scale but do not guarantee recipe yield. Its closed-body dimensions are 11.5 inches tall, 17.3 wide and 11.8 deep. The page does not give empty weight or open-lid clearance. The size works best when your counter, cabinet and storage shelf can accommodate the whole cooker, and the oval crock is more suited to a larger batch than a small single portion.

The Use & Care guide says continuous cooking plus warming cannot exceed 24 hours before shutoff. Warm holds already cooked food; it is not a cooking or reheating cycle. A timed cook uses some of that total window, so do not read the 24-hour limit as a separate full-day Warm period.

The Party Dipper is a warmer, not another cooker

Hamilton Beach lists the included Party Dipper at 20 ounces and about 6.7 inches high by 6.3 inches wide and deep with its lid. The maker describes it for dips and appetizers kept warm on a table or buffet. In the linked instructions, the separate food warmer begins warming when plugged in; it has no documented cook-time program. It does not slow-cook a dip from raw ingredients, and the 20 ounces do not add to the main pot's seven-quart rating. The practical payoff is serving a small hot accompaniment without occupying the large crock. The tradeoff is another appliance and another lid and crock to store and clean.

Both stoneware crocks and both glass lids are listed as dishwasher-safe. The guide directs you to the top rack, not the Sanitize cycle, and cautions against sudden temperature changes. The main crock is described as oven- and microwave-safe, but never heat it empty or place it on a burner. The glass lid is not for an oven or microwave. The small warmer has its own removable crock; follow the exact guide rather than assuming it shares every temperature limit of the large vessel. Keep the electrical base and cord out of water.

Transport and package fit

The main cooker uses clip-tight lid hardware for carrying after the cook cycle. Hamilton Beach's guide says not to clamp the lid while cooking or storing and to lift the appliance by the base handles. The clip assembly can help control movement on a careful trip, but it is not a spillproof seal and the Party Dipper is a separate item that needs its own safe transport. The product page lists a one-year limited warranty; no independent durability or heat-retention test is claimed here.

Choose the 33772 if your real use includes both a large slow-cooked dish and a small dip or appetizer that needs tabletop warming, and you have space for the second unit. The 33770 and black 33771 retain the same seven-quart timed cooker and clips without a Party Dipper in the listed package. The silver 33677 and red 33778 also bundle a Party Dipper but have their own exact model numbers; confirm the code on any existing unit or listing. For a single-pot kitchen or a routine that needs stovetop searing, those bundle choices are not advantages—the 33662MN/33663MN Sear & Cook pots document a different workflow.
