A useful fit for

For someone who wants a single 8-quart slow-cook vessel on some days and two smaller pots for separate dishes on others. The manual identifies CPMCRTC80D-OM as the 8-quart-pot model.

The main tradeoff

The 8-quart and dual 3.7-quart arrangements cannot be used together; remove the large pot before operating the smaller pair. The exact page does not list Bake for this SKU. It is not an 8-quart pot plus simultaneous side dishes, and there is no user-selected meal-ready clock.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need a single cooking vessel of at least eight quarts?

The exact page identifies an included extra 8-quart cooking pot, and the manual names CPMCRTC80D-OM as the model that uses it. This capacity applies to the alternate single-pot arrangement.

Would the two smaller vessels still be useful for two dishes at once on other days?

Yes. The package also contains two 3.7-quart pots, and the manual directs the owner to remove the 8-quart pot before cooking with both smaller vessels.

Is an included Bake program essential for the 8-quart configuration?

Bake is not listed for CPMCRTC80D-OM; the family guide assigns Bake to CPMCRTC37D-OM. This configuration can fit a large-pot slow-cooking need when Bake is not essential.

The Crock-Pot MultiMeal CPMCRTC80D-OM is the configuration to consider when you want a large single pot some days and two smaller pots on others. The package includes the usual pair of 3.7-quart pots and an extra 8-quart cooking pot. The manual identifies CPMCRTC80D-OM as the model that uses the single 8-quart vessel. It is an alternate arrangement, not three pots that can all cook at once: remove the 8-quart pot before using both 3.7-quart pots, and do not stack the 8-quart and smaller pots while cooking.

A large pot is an alternate setup, not extra simultaneous capacity

In the single-pot configuration, the 8-quart insert gives you a larger one-vessel option for recipes that do not fit the two 3.7-quart pots. On other days you can switch to the two smaller vessels and cook separate dishes with different settings. These are mutually exclusive setups: the 8-quart pot occupies the base in its mode, and the manual says it must be removed before both smaller pots are used. So do not treat the package as an 8-quart cooker plus two side pots operating together, or add the pot volumes into a single batch size.

The manufacturer describes each 3.7-quart pot as serving four or more and the 8-quart pot as a larger family-size option. These are serving estimates, not a promise for every food or portion. The size comparison is useful: this is more flexible than the basic MultiMeal package if a single large recipe matters, but the dual-pot setup itself remains two 3.7-quart vessels.

What the exact model can do

The CPMCRTC80D-OM page and its linked family manual list Slow Cook, Sear/Sauté, Rice/Steam and Keep Warm. Slow Cook offers Low and High; the manual does not publish the complete timer range or a medium setting. The manual cautions that recipes written for traditional slow cookers may need adjusted timing. Sear/Sauté browns in the same pot used later for slow cooking, and Rice/Steam uses High for rice or grains and Low for steam. It is not a pressure cooker and does not document a Bake program for this SKU. The Bake setting belongs to the different CPMCRTC37D-OM configuration, an important distinction if baking is a deciding feature.

In two-pot mode, Sync Finish can coordinate different cooking modes and durations so the two dishes complete together. The instructions recommend Sync Finish when durations differ by less than two hours; they describe a staged start for longer differences and say not to use it with Sear/Sauté because that mode needs supervision. It does not let you select an actual time of day for dinner. Slow Cook, Steam and Rice change to Keep Warm at the end of their timed cycles, but Crock-Pot does not recommend Warm for more than four hours.

Pot care and counter planning

The removable pots are ceramic-coated and nonstick. Crock-Pot says the pots, lids and steam rack are dishwasher-safe but recommends hand-washing the pots to protect their coating. The manual says the cooking pots are oven-safe; the exact page specifies up to 450°F. The lids and powered base are not oven-safe, and the pots are not stovetop-safe. Use the supplied pots rather than traditional stoneware, avoid metal utensils, and follow the manual’s advice to keep six inches clear around the base on a dry, level counter. The extra 8-quart pot also needs storage when you use the two smaller pots, so decide whether you have room for a spare vessel.

This model is a better fit for a household that will switch between one larger slow-cooked recipe and two smaller separate dishes. If you never need the 8-quart option, the less complex two-pot CPMCRTC37D-SB or Bake-equipped CPMCRTC37D-OM is the more direct comparison. Choose based on the pot arrangement and function you will use, not the Oat Milk color or a claim that the extra vessel increases the cooker’s simultaneous capacity.
